Buoyant demand for Krones’ blow-moulder/filler BLOC

Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, the world’s market leader for beverage filling and packaging technology, has in the first half of 2007 already seen demand for its blow-moulder/filler BLOC solutions rise by over 40 per cent.

The technological leader Krones offers stretch blow-moulder/filler BLOCs customised to suit its clients’ particular requirements. The outputs available range from 8,000 containers an hour to 72,000 containers an hour in the high-speed category.
Depending on the output involved, transport belts or transfer starwheels are used to pass the blow-moulded non-returnable PET bottles directly from the Krones Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine to the filler. Long conveyor routes are eliminated – resulting in energy savings for the transport media and minimised opportunities for possible contamination and soiling at the containers.
And with a Krones BLOC the line’s efficiency is significantly upgraded.

Basically, a Krones BLOC can be used for any product filled in “neck-handled” containers. For extremely sensitive beverages, Krones offers a maximum of production reliability with its aseptic and cleanroom technologies.
