The Krones Multiturner S pack turning station

For turning shrink-packs, trays and shrink-wrapped trays or cartons from short-side-leading to long-side-leading travel and vice versa, Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, has premiered the Multiturner S, a continuously operating turning unit that turns the packs positively around their own axis. After the packs have been spaced in the infeed, two paddles grasp each pack and turn it under positive control. Possible applications locations include palletiser infeeds, for ensuring the desired composition of layer patterns, or maximised precision of label orientation for visibility on the pallet.

Incorporating new packs and product formats into the handling programme is a simple matter accomplished by a one-off read-in procedure. Replacement heads are available for handling different pack widths. The Multiturner S from the MultiCo family constitues a positively functioning turning station for the high output range of up to 4,500 packs an hour.
