3000th Krones Canmatic for precut wrap-around labels

In spring 2007, Krones delivered its 3000th machine from the Canmatic series. The first Canmatic was built in 1978. It was originally conceived solely for can labeling and replaced machines in which cans were rolled through the labeling station lying on their sides. Today, the fully automatic Canmatic labeler is used to apply precut wrap-around labels to a wide variety of containers.
The 3000th Canmatic is destined for Campbell Soup Company’s plant in Maxton, North Carolina. The milestone machine is rated at 84,000 cph. It’s the fastest-running model in the Canmatic series.

The advantages of the Canmatic speak for themselves:

    • Direct label application without using transfer elements such as gluing pallets
    • Leading and trailing edge gluing for reduced glue consumption
    • Simple operation and maintenance
    • Short changeover times for different containers or labels
    • BLOC arrangement with filler and closer possible
